Arda Goker is an associate attorney with Burns, P.A. His practice focuses exclusively on appeals and strategic trial support.

In 2017, Arda graduated cum laude and in the top 10% of his class from Stetson University College of Law. Since then, he has briefed or assisted with the briefing of dozens of appeals and original appellate actions in Florida’s First, Second, Third, and Fifth District Courts of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Additionally, within six months of obtaining his law license, he presented and prevailed in his first oral argument to the Second District.

Arda’s representative past appellate matters include drafting a response that resulted in the dismissal for lack of jurisdiction of an insurance company’s petition for writ of certiorari, drafting appellate briefs that resulted in the vacation of a $1.8 million forfeiture judgment, and drafting an appellate brief and presenting argument in a family law appeal that prevented a client’s minor son from being forced to move to Idaho. 

Arda was born in Istanbul, Turkey, and raised primarily in Orlando, Florida. His mother is an executive with Oracle, and his father is a retired banker and trained chef. Arda is fluent in Turkish and speaks rudimentary Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, reading novels, and traveling with his wife.
